This bracelet features a variety of colours and finishes from transparent greys to iris metallic, all outlined in opaque black on an opaque white background. Much as the name suggests, I wanted something abstract, where the colours used where reasonably random, and by happy chance work well together. For all my other bracelets, I choose the colours first, sometimes before I choose the design. But with this bracelet, I chose the colours as I went, trying to use ones that stood out on their own without clashing too much. Of course, as I made this when I was first getting into beading, the selection of colours I had was a lot smaller, and had a lot more in common, so it was a lot easier for a colour combination to fall together. The bracelet is finished off with a diamond shaped antique silver-plated pewter clasp.

I wanted a simple design that focused on the sharpness of angles and lines and corners
so I came up with this design by throwing together a enough lines and angles and corners to fill up space. I could say that I had a grand, meaningful plan and that certain elements mimic this or that, but I would be lying.

These bracelets get noticed. Each bead in this piece is sewn in individually for a finished product that behaves like a piece of fabric and is just as comfortable to wear.
